What glove/tab do you use? And why?

I'm pulling #40 right now. I doubt I'll ever go above 50 for the most part. I started at #35 and I've shot my dad's #50 a few times. How do you think it would work for me at #40? Would it be pretty good protection or still leave my fingers sore? I want something more on the protection than feel side because I'm tired of having sore or numb fingers all the time.


Also - what exactly is Cordura? I tried to look into and didn't see a good answer.

I deal with cordura here at work. We use put it over the top of our nylon slings to protect them from cuts and abrasions. the best answer I can give you as to what it is seatbelt material.

I've used several gloves and tabs and finally settled on the Bateman split finger tab. It's cheap and I get a good release with it. My second choice would be a black widow tab.

I have a sanders pac for wet conditions and a hand made Arvin tab. But I shoot mostly bare fingers so I can feel when I don't even get to anchor. Lol Arvin
