What happened to the Saunders Pak-Tab?

Well, I just sent an email to Saunders Archery. We will se if they answer me.

I sent an email to Saunders last year asking if they would sell me just the finger spacers with attachment pins

They replied with one word (all caps & exclamation point) - NO !
Go figure.

LOL Rob, I've never cut the face away from a good pack tab. Just wouldn't seem right. Possibly even sinful.

I have cut the face away from some old pretty worn out ones, and used the backbone with the bolts to experiment with, which made it easy, and lead to some pretty neat discoveries.

Since I'm not a tab user, what exactly is it that is too stiff? If it's the leather piece behind the plastic outer piece, can't you replace it with a different leather?

There is no leather in this tab. The extra pieces that come with it are like rubber or felt. The piece I am talking about is the main piece with the finger loop.



The best way I can describe it is that the old ones felt more like a soft rubber material and the new ones feel more like a hard plastic material.

The first 2 pack tabs I got were very slick & limber, and I actually used one of those 2 for 12 years before it finally started cracking & I switched to the other. The second one lasted for several years, but I gave it to a friend of mine, and ordered me two more.

The second two I got were stiff, brittle, and rough faced. Nothing like the first two, and I was pretty disappointment in them. It didn't take long at all (just a couple hundred shots) and they were already starting to crack.
