I started a thread here asking for some advice on what to get for bird hunting (traditional vs compound) and have gone with Langston's advice as I was leaning that way as well and will get a recurve.
From the skimming in this section the advice is to go with a light draw for being a beginner. So here is my question to the experts here: Would 30# be too light for dove/quail/fish? I want something easy to learn with but capable and not need to invest in higher poundage limbs in a short period of time. I was thinking 40# or 45# before reading here but now am questioning myself so looking for some advice.
Want to try and stay below $250 (preferably <$200) and see some marting sabers bowfishing packages around $220. Thoughts on those or something else appreciated.
