    Slick Tricks for Trad

Does any one shoot Slick Tricks out of the trad set ups? I have been looking at the Viper Trick and thinking about using them out of my widow. My set up now is 29" Heritage 150 with 50gr brass inserts and 150gr German Kenitic XL's. I'm thinking if I went to a 100gr brass insert and the 125 Viper Trick I will be good.

I shot 2 deer this season with my recurve and both had very poor blood trails. I have taken over 25 deer my compound using slick tricks and always had great blood.

There are a couple other factors for my decision. They are super sharp right out of the box. Pack of 3 cost the same as 1 GK.

Im sure they'll work on smaller game. But I also think you'll sacrifice penetration due to them being 4 blade heads.
If I ever tried it, I would use the Razortricks instead of vipers.

Wow, the german kenitics are knowen for leaving good blood trails. Don't think you will get better going slick trick, but they are great heads. Unless it was a lack of penetration and the trick being smaller dia. may help some with that.

If you want a good blood trail go check out the simmons sharks. I saw my buddy use em before with amazing results and then looked up every story I could and now have 3 of em hair popping sharp to go prove to myself how lethal they are. Huge holes, gallons of blood, claims that they penetrate just as well as points with the 3:1 ratio.

I have been looking at both. The reason I'm leaning more to the viper is looks more stream lined. The blender blades are smaller.

Mike, if you get rid of the 150gr GK's, I want first dibs!

I guess I will have to buy MY broadheads from you!
