Where I hunt (Somerville), it doesn't really matter much. Only thing that changes after October is we can't take does anymore...

Get on a large bow-only lease and there won't be any gun hunters to worry about!

I lease hunt so I don't have to worry about the guns or the orange. Some years October has been the better month, and some years November has been better.

October for me because our rut starts right about the same time bow season starts. Bugs and hotter then heck but on our property the deer move all day in October even I it's very hot out.
