Hard to tell from that pic but the brace height appears low. Where are you running it? Raising brace height will decrease hand shock.

Actually it was half an inch below normal. Bingham suggests 11 inches from string to the front. It was sitting a hair under 10.5 so I raised that and it reduced a good bit, thanks for the reminder to check that!
