    Need advice on bow accuracy

    Hi all,

I keep shooting a tad bit high, around 1"-2" @ 20yds, but dead on horizontally.

I have my sights maxed out on height adjustments. I'm 6ft tall and was wondering if moving my peep sight up or down on the bowstring would help?

    Any advice is much appreciated,

    Thanks in advance

I'm no expert but I'd say you should be able to adjust your peep sight. My sight would take a lot to max out one way or the other. You can move the entire sight up and down as well as each individual pin.

Just FYI, you posted this in the traditional forum, so you may catch a little flack for mentioning sights!!!

Yes, you can move your peep a tad and it will move your point if impact.

If you are hitting high, you should need to move your sight up. Do you not have any room left to move your sight up a bit? That seems a bit odd, I so, and you may want to take your bow to a shop where they can check how everything is set up.

Awwww...let these jealous sticks and strings lovers have their little say. But, you can adjust you peep up but that will raise the grouping. I would suggest making your first pin around 26 yds, the second at 33 yds, the third at 40 yds, etc. If you are shooting over 280 fps this is a good setting as if you shoot a deer at 15 yds and aim dead on you will hit about 1.25 inches high. All of my hunting sights are set like this. Cheers!

Make sure your nocking point is set at the correct position before you start moving anything. Good luck!!!

What caughtandhobble said. Trying moving your nock point up a touch and see if it helps. If it's out of whack you can run out of sight adjustment room. If that doesn't help try moving your peep sight up a schootch. It, and the nock point, serve the same function as the rear sight on a rifle so if you want to come down, move it up.
