Arrow Spine Tester Chart for 1/2 inch dial

I have hear if you want to spine arrows under 45 pound spine you need a
1/2 indicator dial not a 1 inch indicator dial and the deflection chart would then have to be recalculated. Is this true and if the answer is yes how do I do that?
I'm no math whiz so is there so place I can plug into to get this done.

I know 2 pounds on center at 26 inches for wood arrows ad I believe 1.964 pounds on center of a 28 inch arrow for carbon and aluminum arrow is standard.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    God Bless:

I don't see where the dial indicator would make any difference. Each would measure the same deflection for a given shaft, just one would have a larger range to measure.

Here is the chart that I have been using to convert deflection to pounds. According to this chart, you would need the larger range for the weaker arrows (the weaker the shaft, the more the deflection):

Thank you for your reply so many different people have their opinions on spine and even how to spell it. I know what spine is just not how the number relate to the arrow pound in spine. This chart will allow me to finish my tester.
