I posted the following on the DIY forum earlier today; however, i was advised to also post it here for a wider audience:
Great site you have here, very informative and some really interesting threads, especially on the DIY forum.
But, I need some help.
I have been asked to make a youth board bow for my nephew's son, and have been searching for a "youth board bow build along". With some help from Sam Harper on Poor Folk Bows, I was able to get a link to one created by "Tinman" on this forum http://discussions.texasbowhunter.co...ead.php?t=2155 which is just about perfect for me; but unfortunately, it was created back in 2006 and none of the attachments are available. In particular, the images in Steps 1 through 7 (layout/measurements and cutting instructions) are critical for me as I am sort of a visual/connetic learner - not conceptual.
Is there by any chance someone on here who may have archived this post and has those images, or had the measurements/layout wouldn't mind sending them to me?
Also, while I was l lurking, I came across a thread where backing a bow with brown paper was discussed. One of the participants in the discussion indicated that he had been able to download digital representations of snake skins, print them off and had used them to back some of his bows? As I am probably the worlds worst "data miner", I have not be able to find that thread again, so if anyone has I link and wouldn't mind sharing I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for your time.
