Recurve case - strung or unstrung?

My recurve is a 3 piece but I almost never take down my takedowns. I'm looking at cases - just something to put it in for a trip to the lease or to the range. Do any of you use the cases made for a strung bow like this one?

or, do you prefer a case that requires unstringing the bow?

I have one just like that and like it. Keeps my bow from getting banged up on boat rides.

I use a Shooting Star case like that one to house my Bob Lee takedown, protects it really well in vehicles. Only downside is it's a little long.

I use one like that. When I'm hunting I don't like to unstring my bow.

I personally don't like leaving my bow strung for extended periods of time. Don't know that I have a reason why, its just what I do. I'd want an unstrung one

I like to unstring mine all the time. I don't want to have to worry about it if it is 100 degrees outside and I stop for lunch or something.

Yep, I use one like it. But its in indian blanket color. Its nice when you dont want to unstring it. But have enough room for it un-strung to.

I used to have that case but sold it and got a Kathy Kelly unstrung one. I like transporting them unstrung for space and just one case they get hot.

I agree with Bisch... Unstring 'em or the heat of a car will do it for you!

I use a case like that when travel on the hunting area and to the stands. I use an unstrung case for longer road trips due to possible heat on a vehicle.

I thought you had to unstring your recurve? Do ya'll leave it strung between shooting sessions? I string mine once I get to where I'm gonna shoot so I use a bow sock thing

I have one of each. For quick trips, I'll use the strung version and for longer trips, possible airline, I'll use the hard case.

I use a Kathy Kelly unstrung case for my Bob Lee take down. I've always been fearful that I'd forget it was in my car and damage it by leaving it in a hot car in the Texas heat.
