Actually grains per inch comes out too light! If you have a 30" arrow and it is 10.9 grains per inch, then you only have a 390gr arrow.

If that same 30" arrow was 10.9 grains per pound of draw weight off a 50# bow , it would weigh 545 grains.

Buff, as a lefty, with the bare shaft wouldn't nock right indicate a stiff shaft, as opposed to nock left or do the same rules apply regardless of which handed you shoot?

Also, while learning to shoot off the shelf, I think I would prefer to have a little extra length to the arrow. I figure this would give me a little control/forgiveness until I find my idea anchor / draw form. Does that make any sense?

If you are a lefty, I do believe it would be opposite!

Oops. Went back and read that - I was trying to make a joke about the arrow actually weighing 10.9 pounds per inch but I fumbled it. (Comedy is hard)

No worries, Jerp. I understood what you were trying to convey.

Thanks, Bisch. I figured it would be opposite but wasn't quite sure.
