Just made one of the best shots of my life with a traditional bow. Not sure why I decided to shoot this one, but as soon as I decided he was legal, the next thing I know the arrow was in the air. Paced the distance off after the fact. 34 yards. Guess the first two this year were just too close! ha, ha.
Nearly hit the heart. Just above it, and broadhead lodged in his far shoulder. He went about 100 yards and my wife helped me track him (she's a GREAT blood tracker, I've learned).
Every time I have shot at an animal with a traditional bow, and didn't remember the act of shooting, this has been the result. Guess it's "the zone." All I know is it's pretty darn cool to experience.
