Which do you prefer 2 blade or 3 blade broadheads?

    If I shot as heavy a draw weight as you, I would shoot a 3 blade too! They both have their place.

      I understand, BUT - in this test, would shooting a lower draw weight have made the 2 blade penetrate deeper than the 3 blade?

      I would love to see the test replicated by someone shooting in the 40# to 50# range.

      I would do it, but I don't have anything that light.

              Never was a fan of them broadheads with the cut outs, could be that's why it didn't go as deep. You got and ACE or something similar to try and see if it makes a difference... Always seemed to me it did on flesh, but the meat might grab the cutouts more than sand would.

                Mike, I agree.
                I think the vented blades impede penetration some.

                I have some Zephyr Tempest, and some VPA 2 blade heads neither of which are vented.
                I'm going to try to find time to give them a go at the test tomorrow.
