    Broadhead Alignment

I've never really thought much about it but a buddy of mine says he always aligns his 2 blade broadheads so they are horizontal and his 3 blade heads always has 1 blade straight up. Does anyone else ALWAYS line up their broadheads a certain way and do you think it makes a difference?

I can't believe I've never given it much thought. I OVERTHINK everything else that has to do with shooting.

I align my broad head diagonal in line with the corner of the shelf and sight window. That way the blade is slicing into the air as the arrow fllexes around the bow.

I really don't think it makes much difference but I've done it like that for at least 30 years now so I guess I won't change.

I remember reading in Byron Furguson's book that he cuts his arrows so that the broad head, when mounted vertically, is a fraction of an inch from your index finger. So that's the way I do it. Not sure how much it matters

Never given it much thought either. I know they make spacers for it.... maybe someone with some pro knowledge can inform!!!

I align the BH at a 2 o'clock, 8 o'clock angle so that when I can't the bow it ends up in the 3 o'clock, 9 o'clock position as I draw the bow. I like having the blade as much out of my vision as possible when I draw the bow.

That's a good idea since I cant as well.

Do y'all think it makes any difference in arrow flight or just personal preference? Do y'all use the rubber washers or just glue the inserts/broadheads specifically for that arrow?

If your arrows are tuned well, it does mat make a difference. If you can tell a difference in flight lined up one way from another, you have a tuning issue. I do not line mine up when I put my arrows together. I just rotate my nock on my hunting arrows to get it right. My feathers are always in the same positions (approximately 4 o'clock, 8 o'clock, and 12 o'clock), but my cock feather may end up in any one of those positions on any particular hunting arrow to make my broadheads line up correctly.

I line my broadheads up vertically and I cant my bow about 45 deg. I never notice the broadhead while at full draw. Maybe I'm different, but that's the way I've done it for 30+ years.

I use a 3 blade vpa and I just screw them on and shoot.

I turn mine to 10 and 4 so it digs into my finger when I'm at full draw.
I have a problem with over drawing my bow when I get excited.
GK heads cut all the way around so a little pain training helps me control myself

I align mine to be horizontal so when I look down the arrow I can see the arrow shaft and not the broadhead sticking up......

if arrow is spinded correctly it should not matter
