      Dishwasher: Remove all food and grease from dishes before putting in dishwasher. Try using the Cascade powder in the green box and only use half of what is recommended ( I never use the trap door). Might take a couple washes before you see a difference. Do not use Jet Dry or similar stuff. Don't use the plastic capsules that are supposed to melt. Run the hot water in the sink until it is hot before turning on the dishwasher, contrary to popular belief, the dishwasher does not heat the water, it uses hot water from the water heater. The heating element you see in the bottom only comes on to dry the dishes after the wash cycle is complete.
      I'm not an expert but did work on appliances for 5 years and learned a few things. Hope this helps.
