I have 1 Blackbuck buck and 1 Axis buck to my credit (and on my wall). Blackbuck shot at 7 yds, Axis at 10, with my sarrels 50# longbow.

Please don't take that as bragging. I was just answering your question.

To answer your next question.....PLENTY gets past me. I just hunt more than anyone...except Buff of course. My success rate is the same or lower than the rest of the good hunters here, I have just been lucky enough to have more opportunities.

I will try and post a pic later when I get home. I have two Blackbucks that are good but not monsters and the same with my axis buck...about 30 inches I think with out much mass.

I missed an axis once that haunts my dreams.

Hum, not coming from a hunting family, I didn't start until I was 16 and could drive myself.

Had no big game available to me, so I bird hunted until I moved to Texas.

Got on my first deer lease at 30. I shot 3 bucks with rifle, all small.

I hunter a couple of years with a compound, and then a transition year where I hunted with both.

That makes about 16 or 17 years with trad bows now. I change out between longbows and recurves depending on my mood.

I will still pick up a shotgun for ducks, doves, quail, or whatever...and I shot a coyote and a fox with a rifle in the last couple of years, targets of opportunity.

Thanks for the compliments on my room.

I didn't even see the pronghorn up in the top of the photo...NICE! They are on the list as well. Oh and I don't see the mulie on there. As I recall you shot a heckuva mulie a few years back. You ought to re-post the story and pics as that was before the crash. That was an awesome writeup and the pics were great.

I agree with duck'n. Chunky should post his mulie story and post the pic of him above it, just before the shot. It is one of the most incredible huntin pics I have ever seen! I think it should be a cover photo for one of the Traditional Bowhunter issues. Hey Chunky, Purty Please !!!!
