First Shot Challenge 2/16/13

Ok here's the new one. One of my buddies claims I shoot at his arrows and break them on purpose even though it's usually just an accident. But this time it's on purpose. Resize this to 8.5x11 and shoot the arrow where it sticks into the apple and break it. 18 yards for adults. 10 yards for kids. Good luck.

Shoot, I couldn't handle the 20 yd shot the other day. This will be a PRACTICE session for sure. No way I can compete with y'all. It'll be fun though!

I know what you mean. I keep reminding myself - like in golf or tennis, they say you should always play with people more skilled than you are. Plenty of those around here! Seriously, these challenges are forcing me to practice at longer distances than I usually do, which I'm sure will pay off eventually.

Hey guys/gals, I wasn't trying to make this shot too hard for people and discourage them from trying it. I just don't ever think about how far something is when I shoot so I just threw a number out there. Hopefully everyone will still give it a shot.

Of course ill still try. I just know I ain't gonna be able to hang with y'all. I love challenging shots. It is what keeps archery, especially traditional archery, so interesting and fun.

Printed, we'll see what happens. I have been working on tunning my bow. Working on my anchor point, switched from a tab to a glove, changed my knock point, change my brace height, etc..... It's no wonder I can't hit anything, my shots are all over the map. I'm also waiting for my new string from Rick...can't wait. Then going to try to meet up with a couple local trad archers and see if they can't get me lined out.

Apparently I'm only lucky with my first shot because I shot at it about 4 or 5 more times and couldn't hit within 3" of where I was aiming.

Yeah I really like that new bow. I feel like I can already shoot it as well as my recurve.
