Archery Pheasant Hunt

How many interested? Feb 16 in Gainesville, Tx. $200 per person. It's a lot of fun and I'm sure there are conflicts with other shoots, etc. this is the only day I have available.

I am a possible, but it is a very long drive. If it's a days worth of birds and entertainment I will try make it. If we only have enough to make a couple passes....probably not.

Brian, I'm confused. Do you have me on ignore? I thought I was the only one (other than 100%TtId) to confirm.

How many birds are we talking about? I hate to be a pain, but it's like 7 hours each way, and the last two years a hotel as well. Don't get me wrong, I had a fantastic time....just trying to make sure the cost and effort is worth the entertainment.

I hate to make this post, but I am out of this hunt this year.

When I crunch the numbers, 200 for the hunt, 200 in gas, 100 for lodging, and a couple of meals out. Figureing 24 birds, of which I might get 5 to bring home.....100 dollars a pheasant, or 20 bucks per shot chance. And it's as much about the 14 hours on the road as it is the money.

Like I said, I had a great time the last two times...but just can't justify it. Maybe next year we can start earlier and get a big group like the first time. Make a whole day of it.
