Jan. 1st of this year I had a limb to fail on my Quinn Stallion. I took it back to Shureshot Archery where I bought it and EdwardV told me they would replace the limb. I ask him if while they were doing that could they go up in weight to 60lb limbs. Well I got the bow back today and not only did David Quinn replace the 55 lb limbs with 60 lb limbs but he upgraded them to "Stallion Classic" limbs which is better thatn the one's I had. EdwardV with Shureshot Archery put a leather grip on my bow and now it's a whole lot nicer than before the incident. I just wanted to give props to both EdwardV @ Shureshot and David Quinn @ Quinn Archery, they are both great people to do business with. I think it looks really nice. Can't wait to go stick some tilapia with it. Sorry about the date on the camara. I forgot to set the date.

The riser is al-mag forged here in the Houston area and all the wood David uses is purchased from a local wood supplier. David uses local suppliers for as much of his bows as possible. He cuts and grinds all his own laminations on a machine he built himself. He builds a great bow. I've never had a problem with the one's I've sold. The only problem I have is with the ones I own, because I get them shooting so well and so quiet and I "pretty" them up with leather wrapped grips, I can't hold onto them very long! Someone always buys them from me.
I have a few people that go on elk hunts every year with their Stallions. They're great all around bows.
Thanks for the kind words, Bobby. I'm glad you like your bow.

We take epoxy and fill in the dips in the riser and then get some leather and cut it to shape. Then get it wet and stretch the crap out of it around the riser and trim it up till it fits. Take some fake sinew and sew it up. It looks great but its harder then it sounds. For me the hardest part it trying to sew it up straight.

What Jake said is about it. Yes, it sounds simple, but it takes some time to get the leather to fit in the pivit point of the grip just right and to have your seam come out nice and staight. I've done about 10 or 12 bows at the store. My best was the bow I did right before Bobby's. I got the leather to wrap over the point at the bottom of the grip on the face of the bow and down to the stabilizer hole on the back with some creative trimming. I didn't have a big enough piece tp do Bobby's bow like that.
I wish I had taken pictures of it before I sent it to the buyer in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It came out really good.
Next time we do another grip, I'll take some pics of the process and post them if you want me to.

Please don't forget David Quinn. He's a genius when it comes to building recurves. He makes a great bow!! He's the one that offered the Classic limbs. I didn't ask him to do that. He asked me if Bobby would mind if he sent him the Classic limbs instead because he wanted Bobby to be happy with his bow. That's class.
