Agreed. I was in Temple on Wed. morning and I had to go in an HEB first thing. The line of people waiting to cash their welfare checks went out the door. In TEMPLE. Unbelievable. And every single one of them was standing up and plenty healthy enough to work.
We're going to have to go broke in this country before people wake up.
The glory days are over folks. The baby boomers had everything handed to them and this country forgot how to work. Now they're running the country like every day is Christmas.

When the system collapses in on itself don't forget that it is Bushs' fault!!!!! And all of those who would rather ride the system than work will still believe that it is owed to them and they will have the right to take it from you if you busted your A** to earn it. And remember "YOU DIDN'T BUILD THAT!!!!!!" So you have no right to complain when the lazy sorry good for nothins decide it is theirs.

John, I take exception to your remark about baby boomers! I am 66, the first year of the boomer generation. NOTHING has ever been handed to me. I have worked hard for everything I have and worked two jobs when my kids were growing up and I think most of my generation is the same way as me.
Our Country has changed in the last 20-25 years. Prior to that most people felt the way to get ahead was to earn it. Now, not so much.
When I was growing up, if you wanted a college education and had no money, you worked your way through, if it took a litle longer, well that's the breaks. Now you just take out gov't loans and then whine about how much debt you have when you graduate. I chose not to go to college because I got married very young but I worked hard and we did OK and I have ZERO regrets.
