First Trad Miss Under My Belt

I took a shot at a ninja doe tonight. My shot went exactly where I wanted it to, but unfortunately, she made the magical move and ducked down about 10 inches. When I got down to get my arrow, there was a round spot in the loose dirt where her belly hit. Arrow sailed right over her back.

    Hopefully, I'll redeem myself tomorrow!

Those does are amazing - the arrow goes right where you are looking but in the fraction it takes for it to get there, the target has moved, then you watch the arrow skip and careen into the brush. All you can say it "Dang it!"

Aim low and they will not duck! Aim for the sweet spot and they will duck! Good luck tomorrow you can do it.

I look at the elbow on all my shots. And the majority of the time they'll duck into it. Big Nannys are some of the hardest animals to harvest. Don't ask me how I know this.
