Canyon Lake Archery Club has a TBoT shoot coming up, I'm not 100% on the date but it will be in February (I think) we are waiting on confirmation of IBO date before we release all of our shoot dates.

Can someone tell me wht the maximum shot range is for the classes. Especially for the young kids.

I've only been to a few TBOT shoots in the past two years or so. Of those, the stakes for kids were at a much closer distance, but from what I understood, kids could shoot from any distance they wanted, even closer than the kid stakes if they wanted to. At my first TBOT shoot, I shot for fun and was told that since I wasn't shooting for score, I could also shoot from whatever distance I wanted.

Of the few shoots I've been to, the distances for adult men ranged from 8 yds to 50-60 yds (the big 3D buffalo at Cowtown out in a big field). I'm not good at judging distance, but the average seemed to be about 15-25 yards for most targets, though. The stakes for ladies were usually just one or a few yards closer than the men's stakes.

I drove all the way down from Dallas almost two years ago to go to that shoot and it was a blast. The scenery was great, too.

Fredericksburg Archery club is hosting one in Feb and Cherokee is hosting in may. I'll be helping at both... (member of both clubs)

is Feb. 9 and 10.
