    Tillering a r/d longbow

My buddy Casey (Baird) on here still doesn't have enough posts to be able to start his own thread on here so he asked me to start a thread asking for help tillering his bow he is building. It's a Bingham kit the hybrid longbow 62" long he has it cut out and braced but has some questions about tiller. Thanks in advance for any help guys

Does he have a tillering tree ? If not it will be awfully hard to tiller IMO. Heck I have a hard time with a tree.

My question would be when looking down the back of the bow I see a slight wave at the end of the fade and another at the tip . What do I do to fix it?

Can't see the limb rolling one way or the other when I pull it back .

Are the "waves" there when its not strung? Check your form really close, is there any chance it has some waves in it and that is how the bow was cast?

I think you should use the flat part of the belt sander to flatten the edges of the limbs. That's where I noticed the waves

If I understand you correctly this is your answer, just take it slow.

If it's wavy along the back, it's in your press

The waves are probably in your press. I just finished building the exact same bow. It's a good design. I've owned 8 different longbow models from 4 different bowyers and the bow I made is the quietest bow I've owned.

                            Belly only.

Well.... If its a R/D longbow I'm not sure. Better get some advice from someone with a little more experience.
