Stemmler Stalker Recurve

I was talking with the older gentleman that lives next door and archery came up. He used to bowhunt in the 70's but he had to give it up because his vision was failing him. He invited me into his back room to show me his "hunting room". He had some decent old deer mounts on the wall and some vintage archery gear. He said he sold most of the good stuff years ago and asked me if I would like to have the rest. He had a ton of aluminum arrows, an old fiber target, and a Stemmler Stalker recurve, 55# in perfect condition. I tried to give him some money but he wouldn't take it.
Anyone here have a Stemmler bow?

Yes, I have one a friend gave me in trade. I haven't shot it any but plan to after new strings, rest, etc...

Lucky you invite him to watch you shoot I think he would like that.

from what very little research I have done Stemmler is actually an older company than Bear.
