    Southwest side of Houston

What trad shooters are on the southwest side of Houston, I am in Richmond, off of 762. Any good places to shoot outdoor or indoors, nearest place that I know of is Viking. Can you shoot in any of the local parks legally?

Salt Grass is this weekend it is on the south side by the dog track. It is not too far from you and they have a good target range. I'm not sure what a membership cost but it will pay for itself if you decide to shoot their 3D shoots. You're always welcome to come to the east side and shoot with me.

The parks that have archery ranges are ok but I'm pretty sure that's it. The parks with archery ranges require a membership except for the scheduled shoots. Join Salt Grass, they always have a good traditional turnout.

C&H I am looking for something a bit closer than 60 miles, I am looking for a place that I can drop in at lunch shoot a bit, and get back to work. Shoots at SG will be fun. Buffalo Field archery is about 35 miles, so it is still not what I would call ideal for what I am looking for.

Where about off of 762? I'm in the same area and I shoot in the drainage ditches in the neighborhood. No one ever said anything to me. I don't do it real often as I can shoot 30 yards in my back yard, but do like to take a few at 40 and 50.

I kind of figure that if you are not stupid then you should not have to much hassle, but at the same time, I don't want to find out either.

I've often thought about shooting in that large retention pond but lots of traffic. Someone would eventually complain.

Gander Mountian has a range but it's only 20 yards.

I'm also a member of the El Campo Rifle and Pistol Club, that's 45 miles away but I take my bow most time that I go out there as well.
