Thanks everyone for the congratulations! Now as promised here is a little more detail. Several from my family were there without her knowing. They got upper level seats so as to not worry about bumping into us/being busted. We will have been together 7 months the 30th of this month, so I decided to propose during the 7th inning stretch. The cost to get on the screen for a proposal was $500, so that couldn't happen. I would've loved to have done it, but we can put that money to good use elsewhere. So I had to come up with something else.
Vv Decided to write a simple "Will you marry me?" on a small piece of paper, roll it tight, and put it in a peanut shell. Just an fyi for everyone, that task sounds a lot easier than it turned out to be. But I prepared 2 of them in case one was crushed in my pocket. It was very close for the family to get in place in time. They showed up right when they finished singing take me out to the ball game. I looked over amd saw my dad at the end of the aisle and was worried she would bust him. They realized how close they were at our row due to everyone standing but us. I grabbed a peanut from my shirt pocket the (had the bag in my lap as well) and handed it to her. She shelled it, poured the peanut into her hand, chunked the shell on the ground, and ate the peanut. She was busy watching the screen, and never looked at it. The note stayed tucked into half the shell!!! I grabbed the second peanut from my pocket, and of course she didn't want another. I squeezed it open just enough for her to see some white in it, and I caught the evil eye(she thought I was doing a scavenger hunt fpr her birthday present) as soon as she started to read I took a knee and proposed after she read it. A few moments of emotion, and a big yes. She then noticed my family and we all went to speak for a few and take some pics. Then went back to watch the Rangers lose, but we still had a great time.
I know some probably think a ballpark proposal as a little odd. I like to go to Rangers games, but honestly don't care a bit for watching sports on TV. She on the other hand is a HUGE rangers fan amd rarely misses a game. For her the place was perfect amd special to her, and obviously that's the only opinion that matters here(not to sound a jerk, I'm just honest). It's been a long drawn out thread over a long day, but with a good conclusion. I would say I'm sorry for dragging out the suspense, but I honestly enjoyed it pretty well. Again, thank you all for the well wishes.
