    Inexpensive longbow

I know you get what you pay for generally but I am on the hunt for a longbow for my girlfriend Jessica. She is currently shooting my Palmer recurve and actually won the women's recurve open class at the Clifton TBOT. By the way I am very impressed with this woman's ability to pick trad shooting up as quickly as she has. This was her second tournament to shoot a recurve in. Anyways I am looking for a 40# at 28" longbow so she can shoot a second class at the tournaments.. She can shoot my Sierra that's 49 at 28 but it's a lil to much weight and she isn't comfortable with it at all. What I am looking for is suggestions on where I can get a good inexpensive one as funds are a lil tight or if any of you good ppl have one in that range or lighter that you wouldn't mind parting with. Thank you all in advance for your input and help!

Check out the Bear Montana. They are a good looking longbow and reasonable priced.
Cabelas has them and I think Bass Pro does too.

Ttt anyone done one of bob sarrels bow kits? I'm pretty good with my hands just a lil nervous about spending 200 bucks and then tearing it up from inexperience.

I'd be interested in this as well... I'm with you though, every time I think about pulling the trigger on that kit, I think to myself "I'm gonna screw it up, don't do it!". One of these days I'm gonna give it a shot though... sounds like a great deal and a really fun project!

Good luck finding a bow for your GF... I sure wish I could get my wife into it.
