    Looking for the right recurve.

    Hi. I am the young man that Buff shot whith Sunday afternoon and he was a big help to me. It was great to shoot with someone that was willing to tell me what i need and dont need. It was a pleasure to meet him. I have been ready to uprgade for a while but did not know what to buy so with help from a friend it is time find a one. I am looking for a good used right hand 45-60# recurve and i want to spend around $250. Let me know if you have something close to what I am looking for.

    Welcome to the fire, Jeff! I don't have anything right now but keep you eyes open in the classifieds here. You can find a good used custom bow for around $300 or so sometimes.

    Also, I would dare to say that none of us can really tell you what the "right" recurve is for you. The best thing for you to do is to keep going to shoots and ask people to try their bows. That way you will find one that fits you well and you will say it is the right recurve, not one of us telling you what we think is the right recurve.

      It is a little over your budget but it comes with a dozen arrows that are worth $100.00

        CJM, be very careful that you don't get a bow that is too heavy for you to learn proper form and technique. That is the most common and worst mistake a new guy can make. You can develop some really bad habits that are really hard to break. Ask me how I know. Been there, done that.
