Velcro rests

After talking to Mr. Sarrels Andrew and swampghost, i made a velcro strike plate and rest, i generally shoot arrows a tad stiff, so i went and shot yep they shot a little stiffer so today talking to Andrew i was about to just go get some leather and barge glue from hobby lobby when he said why not try shaving the srike plate since my arrows were sticking out a little more.. I kind of laughed at the idea of shaving a velcro rest but i did i made it as thin as a leather one and went and shot. Wow it was alot quieter and groups went back to the center i even shot it with magnus 11 125 gr bh out of botyh my kodiak mags right to the center. so for $ 2.97 i made 4 strike plates and 4 rests i figure i can shave to tune on other of my recurves as well. i realize they will wear out but i dont shoot a whole lot just a couple times a week.

I have not tried shaving one but i do have velcro rests and side plates on all my bows!
