If you want to build the best string you can out of a material that is much more abrasion resistant, yields much less creep, and is a better performer than DF97, then get some ultra cam while it is still available.

Costs more than DF97, but is worth it in my opinion.

The only 100% dyneema materials I will use are the new XS2 from Brownell, and BCY's 8190, both of which are SK90 dyneema, but the XS2 is a little better.

Rick what are your opinions on the Brownell Astroflight or the BCY Dynaflight 10 materials. Their numbers look good on paper but how do they really perform? Will check into ultra cam too.

        Both are better than DF97.

        DF97 is SK75 dyneema.

D10 & Astroflight are both SK78 dyneema, but once again the Astroflight is a better material than the D10. Brownell puts all of their material through a proprietary process & treatment, that enhances it, and hands down makes it better than the comparable products from BCY.

I'm not knocking BCY, and they have some really good string materials, some of which I use, but when it comes to the dyneema variety of materials Brownell is the best.

Ultra Cam so far in my testing is still the best of all. That is due to it being a blended, two part material. 60% dyneema/40% vectran. The vectran is what eliminates a large portion of the creep you get with pure dyneema, and also what makes it more abrasion resistant.

I've been testing the new SK90 dyneema quite a bit. BCY's 8190 is pretty good, but Brownell's XS2 blow it away. The XS2 is probably what I am going to be using in the near future, but I still have some testing to do with it yet before I make up my mind.
