    gettin better

Well I have been shooting my martin rebel for a week now and I am starting to get the hang of what I am tryin to do. I shoot 3 arrow groups about 20 times a day. Today I was stacking em in the 10 ring pretty consistantly and it was really fun...Maybe I will get the nerve to take it hunting soon..

I've been shooting a trad bow for a bit over 7 years now. I finally have a bow that permits me to shoot with the accuracy I've previously only been able to achieve with a compound with sight, rest and release out to 30 yards or a Hoyt Gamemaster with sight, rest and release out to 20 yards. I'm achieving the same results out to 25 yards shooting fingers off the shelf with an SRF sight, no pins. And the bow, a 3 Rivers Dalaa, is as smooth as butter to draw and shoot with absolutely no handshock!

Check out the deal on SRF Sighting System - Optical Flat Black at 3Rivers Archery Supply

It is what DAS made to sell at 3 rivers I was thinking of getting one

I saw that sight in the catalog. How does that thing work? I assume you have to hold the bow straight up?

I'm happy shooting a Great Plains longbow. The trick is to find what works for you and hone it.

DR, glad you're improving. If you have a 3D course set up nearby, its real helpful to shoot the course from time to time.

The web site had more info than the catalog but did not say if you hold the bow straight up. Surely you do.

It says to set it at your mid range. That might be 10 yards for me. ;- )
