That is one thing I like about pixar, yes they get alot of the moral stuff wrong, but the geeks there most likely shoot 1000 arrows and monitored each milisecond of the flight before they animated it.

LOL i think thay went to a trad shoot. i know all 3 of the guys shoot'n. short draw. the bow thrower and the arrow dropper...
now if one of them would of thrown there arraws in the fire..
