My Blackwidow Fast flight string busted when I released my arrow. Scared the crap out of me. Bow appears to be fine though. New string coming. I'll be going through withdrawls until it gets here.

I bet that scared the daylights out of you!!! Did the string break at the nock point, if not where did it break. Also how old was your string? I am glad you or your bow did not get hurt. Did you order one or two strings? -
With a few simple tools and materials you can make a string in about 15 minutes. if it broke on a loop look for a sharp edgeComment

It broke about 5" below top loop. Not sure how old as I bought the bow used.Comment

I've had a few break, and one in the same place yours broke. it happens sometimes. I never get used to it though. It is nerve racking every time.

i have had 3 strings break at the end of the flemish twist. My limbs went 15 yds and the arrow was in the bull. The bow was capable of being in 5 pieces, I was holding a riser and the other 4 were between me and the target. Fortunately, the bow was designed to come apart in such an instance.
Never had a string break that I built though, thats why I started making them. Quality control is at an all time high around here.Comment

At the Canyon Lake shoot I just happen to notice my string on the bottom of my bow was about 1/2 into on the side of the loop. I couldn't feel anything with my finger but very lightly sanded it anyway. Glad you and your bow is OK!Comment
