Get with Deb at the house for about 4 hrs and 25 to $50 later and you will save alot of time and not learn all the bad habits I have that are so hard to correct after you have ingrained them in your head.

If you weren't such a tite wad you would pay Deb to get rid of your bad habits too.

I have a bag in my garage that has no spots on it. I stand right in front of it and work on elements of form, one at a time: bow arm, deep hook, back tension, etc without worrying about where the arrow is going. When I go in the backyard to shoot I don't really think about form, I just work on my focus. When things get sloppy, it's back to the blind bale.
This will take care of his problem.

Thanks for the advice everyone and Deb, I look forward to meeting you on Sunday. I actually have practiced once blindfolded and it did help, but tonight I found the culprit and solved the problem. My 2 boys shoot out at KC's for the Tuesday night league and while we were out there tonight, I brought my bow and asked Mark (the owner)to take a look at my anchor point.

He said it was actually not my anchor point or my tab, it turned out to be my lips! For some odd reason I was forcing my lips forward when I anchored. He said it looked liked I was puckering up for a kiss. It was very strange because I did this every time I drew the bow. All I had to do was purposely close my lips, then anchor my index finger in the corner of my mouth and Viola, that did it!

I may have gone for a while if I hadn't had him look at this. I was actually going to videotape myself to see if I could figure it out, but luckily I didn't have to

I'd still like your input as well Deb, so again, see you Sunday.

And thanks again everyone for the input.

              J.P.

Is was going to suggest that puckering thing as well, Coon007's kid used to do it. Another thing is trying too hard to look over the arrow, causes you to turn more into the string and smack your lips and nose, I used to do that.
