    Bud Murphy RIP

For those of you who don't already know, Bud Murphy has passed away. His neighbor told me it was a sudden and severe onset of Parkinson's.

I remember Bud from when I first got into trad 30+ years ago while living in Plano. He was very helpful to a new shooter.

        sorry to hear this.

I only met Bud a couple times, but he was a really nice guy and fun to hang out with. Hated to hear of his passing.

Not sure if I ever met Bud, but shot enough TBoT shots, so am sure I ran into him.

Please come join us in celebrating the life of William Harmon Murphy Jr. (Bud) 3/18/57-2-7-24. We will have it at the Texas State longbow range in ft worth on March 9th at 12 noon. Bring your chairs, bring your bows (optional), but most of all bring your stories. We will have some food and some drinks. We will have a few targets set if anyone would like to shoot, and a full day of telling stories as I know we all have one or 20. Let's get together and not be sad, but yet reminisce of all of the good times and laughs that he brought to us all.

Sounds like a nice way to pay respects to a man of the stick and string.

I spent a lot of time with Bud shooting and hunting. He was very encouraging to me when I was a beginner shooter. I'll miss him a lot.

Like so many others he'll be "in the wind" for us all.
