I used to use that on my bow fishing bows in the late sixties. They were quite popular back then. You can take a Dremel with the sanding drum and sand the ends of the bristles and make a very slight groove where your arrow sits to make sure it sets against your button good.

Seems like you could easily sand through the back side of the bamboo until you get into the bristles and then put CA glue or epoxy onto everything. That should fix the issue of bristles coming out. Black bristles would sure look better.

              Thanks Bisch.
I saw those in my search, but unfortunately they only have them in medium soft firmness.
              Otherwise they would be perfect.

Just ordered some of the bamboo ones.
                We'll see how it goes.

Yep Onski. The brush rest is nothing new.

The most common use is as you've posted here, with the bristles horizontal.

I'm going to have to rethink this.
Once I got outside with it shooting, I realized it isn't giving me the flethching clearance I thought it was.
Not giving up on it though. Just have to do some pondering.

I take a 1/8” leather string or strip and glue it to the shelf and to the riser.
                        It works ok.
I’ve never tried the brush before.
Interested to hear how good it works.
