People think I'm nutz, but I don't care.

    Justification for this is:

    (1) I wanted too.

    (2) Tune on the fingers is vastly different from tune with a release.

    (3) Draw weight on the fingers is higher than draw weight with a release.

Nah Rickbwe don't think you're nuts.

      We know you are.

Seriously, I wonder what the speed difference is between you shooting it and mechanical Joe shooting it.

I just can't help it. LOL

Mechanical Joe is going to be much more consistent, and that's where the difference would be.

True. And no need to apologize or explain. You have the guts and the smarts to figure this stuff out. Thats pretty dang cool to me.

When I saw you starting to build that shooting machine, the thought did cross my mind about something that would reproduce an accurate finger release.

It's been on my mind for a long time. Finally got around to it.
Needed the shooting machine for it, so it turned into a pretty big project.
Worked on the new fingers a little more today. Mainly just dressing them up some.

It's been a long, long time ago that I cut my middle drawing finger almost completely off, just a shred of skin holding it on. Got it sewed back on but I couldn't draw my bow. I made a tab with a hinge inside of it. It worked unbelievably well and I killed Click image for larger version

ID:	26692586 3 deer with it. Even with the leather face, the speed while using it was quite a bit faster than using a regular tab.

                  That's pretty cool there Draco.

What I am building here though isn't to use as a release aid.
It is to simulate a finger release on a shooting machine.
