    Hoyt Warf trade

Looking for some cheap ilf limbs. Nothing fancy! I have 66” Hoyt riser with sky limbs 50lb. Makes a 66” bow. Comes with string!

Nice riser, but it does not appear to be warfed.

Nope. Warf would have made it into a Bat'leth.

Fair enough… what do I call it then? Frankenbow?

My understanding is that a Warf was a compound riser with recurve limbs on it.

Yes. It's a Frankinbow, and your description of "compound riser with recurve limbs" is correct.

The difference is, Warf means it has been converted to accept ILF limbs, by either using ILF plate adapters, or machining the receivers directly into the limb pockets.

Your riser looks as if the pockets are to hollowed out to be machined for ILF, but the plates would work great.

I've done many of both, and either will make a fine bow when done right.
I do prefer the ILF though.
