Wow, another great video, Daniel. Thanks for sharing. I need to foot some arrows, but need some information. What size shafts do I need for the following?

        Beman ICS Hunter 500

        Gold Tip 3555

        Thanks in advance,

        Ron

great video... aside from saving the shaft, it seems to transfer alot more energy into the target with the footed shafts.... good to know

          also awesome paradox video

But I would not shoot them again after hitting something that hard. I had a gold tip rupture after seemingly surviving a solid hit on a lime stone rock, the arrow looked fine but blew up on the next shot, just sayin. I used 2117s on gold tip 35/55's

Good video. Really shows the benefit of footing. I tried looking for an Easton spec a while back that showed the ID(inside diameter) of there aluminum shafts but never found one. So I gave up on the idea.

I fotted about one dozen arrows this evening.

Jerp, if you'll PM me your email address, i'll send you a list of aluminums and the corresponding carbons that they fit

Good info Daniel, thanks for the reference chart.

I can probably dig up some bent 1916 and 2016 shafts (if I haven't already tossed them all) if anyone needs them.

That was a great video, thanks for doing it.

So what did we learn....? Footing the shaft makes a big difference and if you are going to hunt concrete slabs...take extra nocks.
