    Sink the battleship.
4 days left in the week. One shot per day. One shot per circle. 4 target circles. 4 hits.

    Shooter with most hits wins.
    Adults shoot from 9 yards.
    Children shoot from 4 yards.
    Shoot from any position.

Modern battleship is roughly 11” long and 3 1/2” wide at widest. 1/2” wide bow. 1” wide stern. 1 5/8” (gatorade bottle cap) hit circles. Fake the funk and dont worry about specs.

    Good skilling Shooters.
God bless and have a great remainder of the week.

    Oh boy...

For nerds like myself who can't draw a straight line or a concentric circle, here is a PDF of the target.

Day 1 - Miss, going to work down the circles by day. Tomorrow the second from top.

What about shooting differnt bows? One target a day per person or bow? Not trying to complicate anything, but I'm going to start shooting my Deerslayer as well.

I couldn't stand it, official target or not, I wanted to first shot from the Deerslayer to be cast at that goofy target. It went better than the Mohawk I've been shooting. Very smooth bow, grip is definitely made for a big guy's hand. Fits me well. I'd call it a miss, more off the paper than on plus it did not touch the circle.

Ive always considered first shots from different bows or different hands (left vs right), to be firsts and qualified no matter of not the actual first shot.
The overall goal is repeatable first shots. Different bows call for different forms and different aiming. Different enough to be different first shots.
Good shooting MrRnach. Thanks for adding the PDF.

          Day1:
          Jr: Hit

Admittantly, I was aiming for Jrs circle and skipped off his arrow and landed a hit. Jrs initial hit was a line rider, but then my arrow skipped off his and pushed him deeper into the hit circle.

We discussed micro adjustments in aiming for tomorrows shots.

                    I suck at this...

This week, with what I need to do outside, has left this the only shooting I've been able to do. I shoot first out in the morning, and I'm overcooked at the end of the day, it is still too hot.

I've shot almost every day this week. Granted a couple of nights it was under the solar lights and only a few shots. But I'm ready for archery season to get here.

Next week will be easy for me, and I will have more time for shooting sessions. A blind squirrel... honestly, the arrow before I let as I let up on finger pressure, I knew the arrow off the Mohawk was good to go. I love that feeling!
