Traditional Week 28 First Shot Challenge

Armadillo is on the target docket this week. These cool critters are garden grubbers, irrigation line chewing little buggers, that need to be killed ever so often.

I wish I had the nerve to make and eat armadillo pie. Maybe one day, not today.

Draw or print an armadillo.
Place your aim point where you deem necessary. Im going to aim just behind the front plate.
Place the armadillo on your target butt on the ground, as would be found in the garden.
Adults shoot from 14 yards.
Kiddos shoot from 6 yards.
Shoot from any position.
Shoot and measure first shot of the day.
Shoot up to three days.
Measure from edge of shaft to designated aim point.
Lowest measure of a single days shot wins target.

Day 1 & 2: misses low
Yesterday and todays shots are on par with my actual armadillo shots. I seem to invariably miss low and shave enough diller for a blood trail but not high enough for a dead critter.

Tomorrow is a new day.

Last armadillo I shot was in our deer lease camp and the arrow went through it and was sticking out both sides. Went to grab it by the tail as the arrow hung up as in dove into it's hole. It kicked hard, snapped the arrow and got away. By the next weekend there was a terrible stench around that hole.
