I met Fred Eichler!

I was in Vegas for a few days and I was fortunate to meet Fred Eichler.
Some might not like him and others will. I personally, love his show.
To say the least, he is a great guy. Very simple and modest for a guy that has shot a brown bear with a recurve. I'm a huge fan of his show and was very surprised of his modesty.
Also, he is a lot taller than what I thought he would be.
We talked and shared some stories for a few minutes as if we where friends.
For those of you that have met him, you can't say I'm wrong.
I just wanted to share.

Anyone that is that genuinely enthusiastic about what he does (so long as it's legal) is okay by me. We lack true passion anymore these days, but he brings it. I don't care for the infomercial format that most shows (including his) have turned into, but that's the business side of things I guess. But you can't fault him for being real. Glad you got to meet him.

Just remember these guys put their pants on just the same way you do, and none of them have found a cure for cancer yet, so keep it all in perspective

I'm definitely a fan. My favorite thing is how he gets amped up about does, spikes, etc on his hunts. I remember one show where he had a really hard time waiting for a trophy deer to get on camera. He was ready to put down a doe on several occasions. I really like that quality about him.

I had the pleasure to hang out with him for an afternoon and listen to him give a talk on life and hunting. Great guy and a heck of a hunter.
