Granger Ranger Xtreme Hunt

24-26 Feb, Granger WMA. Predominatly compound shooters, but there could be at least two stick bows there this year. Camp in the Primitive Camp ground. Bring anything you want to haul in and out. One Rule, we don't bring anything to eat. There have been guys fishing the last several years, so you'd better like catfish. Even killed a pig or two over the years. We might be broad jumping over the creek this year, but it will be a blast. If you have a boat that would be great, but not required.

I have a Katydyn filter. But mostly we don't drink water that does not come from a can.

Bump to pick up a few more Rangers. There just might be a decent Trad crowd this year. Usually it's just me. Might try to make an early trip and bring a PBJ, to scout current conditions.

Hunting license, Public land permit, gas to get there, bring enough to drink for the weekend. Wink-wink. There are a few Rangers that don't hunt much on Saturday, after Fridy night around the fire. No food in camp. Don't get caught sneaking back to your truck either. There are several fiherman that attend every year and we have enough catfish to feed the crew. We even have killed pigs before, also.

Granger Rangers are we. It is an elite crowd of folks, have made all but the first couple. This is number 12, I think. It is a blast.
