Back at the ranch ...

Apart from the fact that Fred got lost in the bushes and had a close encounter with a jumping cactus …. ... we all had a great time at Amistad.


Fred and Chris - exhausted but smiling ...



Chris went back to San Antonio.
He had to go back to work.
Fred and I had the opportunity to stay at the ranch to hunt. Thanks Amigo










we got busted twice ... then they were gone ...

Nevertheless it was a day full of joy and excitement.

and finally ….

first Texas deer down …



The deer comes in at about 18 yards - she is looking at me - staring me down - I am at full draw - her eyes are getting bigger and bigger - pick a spot - my back muscles are starting to cramp - the doe starts walking towards me - I am not able to release - my body started shaking - I closed my eyes and when I opened them again the doe was gone ……

All I could see was a clear blue sky !!!
I was laying on my back, staring at the sky ....

Apparently I fell asleep from sheer exhaustion and began to dream ….
While I was still thinking about this dream, I noticed a movement to my right ... I see a doe … am I still dreaming ?

No !!!!

This time I'm not dreaming - it's real, real, real ….

The best way I can describe Bownanza is to tell you to click on it in Thr drop down box. I am really talking out of school as I've never been because something always breaks my plans! This year it's gonna happen! Several people from this sight get together and cook, visit, drink, and make music! I'll buy you a beer if you can make it back and I'd imagine as popular as you're getting here you'd drink for free. You get here and we'll take care of the rest

This is hands down my favorite thread and I've been an addict er member since 07!
