May be a dumb question, but what breed makes the best tracking dogs? My two boys are going to need a dog in a couple years, and would like a mid sized breed that could be a pet and a tracker. Any suggestions?

GREAT JOB ALLISON. She is a Half Lab Half Black Mouth Curr. She was born to track. I am sooooo happy for you Ron. She loves to find deer. On such a sad day as her brother was killed last night. We are soooo happy that she is doing great. Thanks for sharing.
