    Need recurve help

I have an old Darton recurve that I would like to get set up to learn with.
It looks to be in good shape, no twist etc... t needs a string and I am not sure what length to buy.

you need a 58" recurve string... should be no problem to get one in an archery store!

Not necessarily(sp). You need a string for a 58" bow not a 58" long string. Generally, a 58" recurve will use a string that is about 54" long. You need a string that with a little twist will leave you with a brace height in the 7"-8" range.
