    Back from childress!!

Well had another great weekend at my grandpas in childress..

This would be my first trip with my new blueridge s/r.. I couldnt wait to take it out

I saw lots and lots of deer.. I had deer within 6-7 yards every sit in the stand as well as seeing lots of decent bucks every day.. Lots of young 7-8 points and a young 10 pt.. Here is a pic out of my blind at a few does

I had this big boy come in this morning. I am second guessing passing him up now.. My hand corn that i put out at 10 yards had all been eaten when he came in, so he went to the feeder instead of coming real close to my blind.. I had him at 20-30 yards for probably 20 min but he just wouldnt come close enough.. I had my compound in the blind but i want a buck with my longbow so i let him walk..

The reason all my hand corn was gone is bc i had a group of hogs come in b4 daylight and eat every bit of it.. They came in b4 it was light enough to shoot and i just couldnt make their shape out forever.. Finally after like 20 min i noticed one of them had a white head.I dont know if my eyes adjusted or what but for some reason i could all the sudden finally see their outline even though it was still 15 min b4 daylight.. Finally the white headed one was standing at 10 yards quartering away and i just shot behind the white spot.. It took off with my lighted knock and ran off..After all my deer had left i tracked it down.. SHe only ran 80 yards.. My first longbow kill ever..> THanks Bob

Those tree sharks are crazy.. I shot this pig mid way back angling up into the opposite shoulder and the hole was so big its guts were falling out

Great job! Looks like you had a fine weekend. Your stand looks cool too, it's been a while since I hunted one like that (maybe too long).

That's a neat looking pig (as far as pigs go). Your new bow looks a scary lot like my Blueridge only mine is a long riser.

Congrats on your first longbow kill!

Those BHs are awesome. I've looked at them, but I haven't bought any yet. I might do so now.
