I'm thinking about ordering it from Bob. I can never settle on it, maybe I haven't been shooting long enough, but I like variety and my 'perfect' bow changes a bit with the game and area I am hunting.

I'll tell you one thing, I love gnarly exotic woods, but I've been hunting the north woods in soaking, cold rain two seasons in a row now, and the man-made materials definately have an advantage there. If nothing else so you're not worried about screwing up your bow after a day on stand.

Go and see. You can spend more money, but you can't buy a better bow. If I have a bow in my hand its a Sarrels.

No one bow could ever cover everything.
Too many differant critters out there to shoot at.
I wouldn't want to hunt rabbits with a 83# bow nor would I want to shoot a Lion with a 50.

All of the bows have been created made drawn built or how ever ya wanna say it.

For me it all boils down to the way it looks profile wise, how smooth it draws, Don't pinch the finger if you prefer shorter bows, No stacking, and sets in your hand like the handle was molded especially for your hand.
OH, and one more important thing, don't rip your arm up with the raspberry when ya shoot without a bracer.

I've designed 6-7 longbows and 3-4 recurves, and I enjoy shooting them all, most are for me and my style of shooting. but I'm not beyond shooting and making someone elses bow either.
I just got Bob's personal hunting bow when I was in Texas. it was like shooting one of my own, I like the style and how it shot so he made me an offer I couldn't refuse so it's going pig slaying with me tonight.
Why did I buy another bow of someone else's? Cause I love fine craftsmanship and it's a shooter !!
Oh, ands that thread about Tweaking a bow.... Don't have to with our bows, they shoot any arrow we need to shoot, just the way it is.

I love most all sarrels models , but I've sure taken a liken to that blueridge sr. Hint Hint Zac. I still have a hard time not picking up most any 65'' to 67" AW selfbow for my 26" draw. Yes some shock but it just seems so real for me.
