^^This is what I love the most about deer hunting!^^

The day my heart stops pounding when a deer comes into range will be the day I stop hunting. Doesn't matter if its a button buck or a wall-hanger, they all get my adrenaline up!

As said above. Set a limit and DO NOT TAKE A SHOT BEYOND THAT LIMIT. Also be real careful on shot selection and angle. I'd the shot is not there, then do not take it. Get out inthe woods and good luck!

Take your trad bow hunting. If an animal presents itself to ya and if everything feels right, take the shot (as long as it is within your prescribed limits). Sometimes you just have to wade into the stream to get wet. If you go hunting with it and nothing feels right, don't shoot but go back again and again until things set up for ya.

You'll never shoot one if the bow is hanging on the rack. The most advice I can offer is not to second guess yourself. You know your limits and don't try and exceed them.

              Good hunt'in.

                Thanks..

What I would really like to do is go stump shooting/small game hunting. There seems to be an area near Cagle campground in Sam Houston NF that is archery only. Maybe Ill get my necessary permits and just go out there and shoot. I think it would be good for me to shoot more in the woods vs. same target with limited space in the back yard.

Here's a sure fire way. Take a 3-D buck and set him up with your wife's (or girlfriend's) car as a backstop. When you are comfident shooting your hunting set up into that. YOU ARE READY!
