So after I shot my doe, I dropped her off at camp along with my bow, quiver, and video camera...and went to pick up my daughter Kelby.
When I went to open the gate to the other pasture, something moved right at my feet. There, about 7 or 8 inchs from my boot was a 3 ft rattlesnake. he coiled and started buzzing at me. Hum, I never really worry to much about them as you see them so rarely. I backed away slowly and he didn't strike. Do you think they can bite through a rubber boot?
This one could have gotten me if he would have wanted to. I had not a thing to kill him with....even though he gave me a pass I probably would have.
I went and got KJ and her bow, but alas he was gone and we could not find him. What he was doing out on a cool rainy day, I will never know.
